I am not an electrician but hooking up and setting up the thermostat was easy. The instructions were clear and precise. I love that it is hooked up to Alexa. The app helps me monitor the temperature when I travel.

So I had this professionally installed just because I needed my thermostat moved and asked the guy to put this one on instead of the original. He said that it was one of the easiest "smart" thermostats he put in and programmed. So anyone can do this like the description says and it really takes like 30 min.

First off, the thermostat looks BEAUTIFUL. Very modern. I like the black body with the illuminated data on the display. It really looks fantastic. Photos don't do it justice.
The thermostat was easy to install. The instructions were easy to follow and are well written in English. There are lots of illustrations for various wiring options. Pretty much everything is covered.

The thermostat is fairly easy to install & ecobee has great tech support so far. This thermostat can setup more automatic like the nest but also has a lot of manual configuration if you want it. I chose manual due to my system being duel fuel but since we have natural gas we prefer to bypass heat pump usage.
